Schedule of 71st and 72nd APAA Council Meeting and the 19th General Assembly in Gold Coast (Australia) in 2020

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I hope this email finds you safe and well during this difficult time.

On behalf of APAA, I would like to express my solidarity and support with everyone affected by this situation.

APAA had initially planned to have the 71^st and 72^nd APAA Council Meeting and the 19^th General Assembly in Gold Coast in Australia (referred to as “APAA Gold Coast Meeting” hereunder) in November this year. However, the world was suddenly struck by a new, unexpected coronavirus, which has now affected every country in the world.

APAA has been watching the impact of the new coronavirus closely. Unfortunately, lockdowns are still implemented in many countries, and people’s movements are restricted around the world.

APAA’s General Assembly and Council Meeting usually begin accepting early birds in May. However, it is totally uncertain whether APAA will be able to hold a successful meeting or not in this year under the current circumstances.

In this unprecedented situation, APAA is now keenly considering rescheduling the APAA Gold Coast Meeting, with all options opened. We should be able to make a decision by the beginning of June at the latest. We will inform you of any new developments soon. Thank you very much for your understanding and patience.
